For me, real science is the core of the modern world. It is the creator and driving force of ‘growth’ and social change; intellectually it is the crowning glory of modernity; but indirectly science is responsible for most of the distinctive horrors of the past couple of centuries.

Tieteen tekijöiden täytyy yhteiskunnallisten syiden takia tehdä sosiaalisesti hyväksyttävää tiedettä. Mikä on totta ja mikä vähemmän totta on lähinnä poliittinen kysymys.
